Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia is a condition where the patient feels painful sensations similar to an electric shock on only one side of the face. This chronic pain affects the nerve called trigeminal nerve which carries signals and sensations from the face to the brain. Initially, the patient experiences mild attacks which later progress and cause longer bouts of searing pain.
